Washington State is set to face Pepperdine in the annual Cougar Hardwood Classic in Seattle on Thursday. And if history is a true indicator, the Cougars are headed for another win.
Washington State is 6-0 all-time in the Classic. Last year's victim was Portland ? an 84-68 win thanks to Klay Thompson's 35 points. In previous years the Cougars beat LSU (2009), Montana State (2008), The Citadel (2007), San Diego State (2006) and Utah (2005).
The Cougars are coming off a 66-42 win against Western Oregon, with Faisal Aden and Mike Ladd making their first appearances since coming back from injuries.
Thursday's game tips off at 7 p.m. and will not be televised.
